People are increasingly transitioning to almond milk due to health reasons. If you have lactose intolerance, you likely suffer from the runs after drinking full cream milk or any other beverage with milk in it.
Understandably, you want to drink a milk substitute to get through your day. You also likely miss the taste of milk. While almond milk doesn’t taste like cow’s milk (or maybe a little, it does), it’s an entire category on its own.
Can You Boil Almond Milk?
Boiling almond milk is one way you can integrate this beverage with the usual recipes that we all love, like pasta. Yes, almond milk can be boiled and added to most dishes as you would dairy milk. While the flavor might be different, we’re sure that you will be satisfied, the same way that many vegans are satisfied with the shift to almond milk.
Almond milk, like dairy milk, provides the custard texture and flavor that we all love. While it is unfortunate that cow’s milk is not for everybody, almond milk is, unless you have a severe allergy to the main component of almond’s milk.
Scoring is possible when you overheat almond milk, so keep that in mind when cooking with almond milk. Pick the right type of almond milk. Almond milk has many flavors, and not all of them are compatible with dishes.
The unsweetened variants obviously will have no sugar. Other folks won’t be able to drink beverages with more than 10 mg of added sugar. Check the label first.
