Pork roast has always been a classic favorite because it is tender and juicy and brings the best flavors of the meat. However, a pork roast meal will not be complete without the right side dishes.
What to Serve with Pork Roast?
Pork roast dinner sides:
- Casserole with cheese and grits – Corn grits combined with a large helping of cheese will always bring out the best in a pork roast meal. Add some green beans to the mix, and don’t forget some soft dinner rolls, and you’re in for a treat. This is one meal that your entire family will enjoy for sure.
- Salad with vinaigrette – Salads naturally complement pork roast because they soak up the meaty flavor from your mouth, so you are not overwhelmed by the oily pork. We recommend a salad with fruit, like a cherry farro salad. There will be tartness and sweetness at the same time. Add some crunch by sprinkling some walnuts into the salad bowl. White sugar isn’t necessary because of the added fruit already. If you want more sweetness, though, adding maple syrup isn’t a bad idea.
- Baked macaroni – This is probably the easiest to prepare and cook. Even boxed baked macaroni is a good choice. The ones that you reheat in an oven are even better. But for the best results, go for freshly made baked macaroni with two or three types of cheese.
- Lentil soup – Lentil soup is a good side dish for many dishes, and it is exceptionally good for pork roast. Add some apples, carrots, and sweet potatoes to the soup and see the additional ingredients liven up your meal.
