Reducing one’s carbon footprint is a responsibility, especially now that the world’s garbage production has increased because we have to wear masks and face shields.
All that plastic is taking a toll on the planet, and it’s even finding its way to our food. While reusable straws won’t solve everything, it will help reduce the overall need for plastic. Plastic straws aren’t made to last forever. They’re so flimsy that they are marked single use.
From a biological perspective, it’s also not good to reuse disposable straws because the plastic degrades over time. If you want to sustain your home’s health, you need to invest in the best reusable straws. If you are a fan of a stainless steel water bottle with straw, you will love how these straws turn any vessel into a convenient and eco-friendly drinking aid.
The Grilljoy 13 pcs./pack metal straws are a classic for reusable straws, and these straws will likely last for a lifetime unless they become deformed or are broken with force.
The metal straws are angled for more comfortable sipping, and they’re ideal for thin drinks like sodas and some smoothies. Because they are not large straws, these metal straws cannot be used for drinks with Bobas and other items commonly added to milk teas and commercial fruit shake preparations.
Keep this in mind if you prepare milk teas at home as you may be disappointed that they can’t suck in tapioca pearls and the like. Other than that, these straws are perfect for most beverages. Each pack has 13 pieces and is suitable for parties and get-togethers.
One of the main reasons why some folks struggle with reusable straws is they are unwieldy. Their length makes them hard to secure in a bag, and they often roll around in boxes, which can reduce the appeal in using them. Enter reusable metal straws that are collapsible. You read that right – they have designed metal straws that telescope inward and outward when you need them to.
These collapsible metal straws come in carrying cases too, that look like they’re freed from a jewelry store. The cases come in either rose gold or black, so you’re free to select from either a masculine or feminine set. Each pack comes with two telescoping straws for your convenience.
The Flyby portable and slim collapsible straws look chic and modern. They cannot be bent at an angle, but they come with their remarkable aluminum case in eleven different colors. The straws are also silicone tipped, which should aid in sucking up beverages.
Each also comes with its long cleaning brush, ensuring that no residues are left in your straw after using it for a few hours. Keeping your reusable straws clean is essential in maintaining the cleanliness of these straws. Simply wiping them down is not enough. All beverage residues must be removed before using them again.
Food-grade silicone has always been the answer to the industry when it comes to reusable ware. From silicone food coverings to silicone straws, food-grade silicone has proven itself worthy each time.
With ten pcs. per pack, the Wecolor brand of reusable straws is BPA-free, free of all kinds of plastics, and is non-toxic. It will not oxidize or react with beverages and has the flexibility that you’ll love when you’re drinking just about anything.
Each pack comes with multiple sizes so you can select which straw you need at the moment. There are slim straws for thin beverages and XL straws if you need to drink something with Bobas and tapioca pearls. We also love the fact that it’s so versatile that you can bring it with you anywhere, and you will never run out of the perfect straw to use.
Kynup’s collapsible straws have a certain charm to them that we love so much. These straws look neat, incredibly compact, and portable, and they come in these neat carrying cases that look like fountain pens.
The loop on top makes it easy for you to carry them wherever you’d like, and they also come with a long cleaning brush and extra hooks so you can attach them anywhere you’d like.
These would look lovely when you are camping or hiking, or just anywhere you’re going. The school would be that much more convenient, too, because you will always have a collapsible straw.
We love the idea behind the StrawExpert because the manufacturer took metal straws to another level. Usually, people complain about accidentally biting the tip of the metal straw. Some people also complain of dental discomfort by just touching the metal with their teeth. StrawExpert solves this by adding an unexpected twist to the classic metal straw: a silicon drinking tip. By adding another layer between the metal and your mouth, you can drink more comfortably each time. Each pack comes with 16 pieces of reusable and washable metal straws for every imaginable occasion and four cleaner brushes measuring 9.5” long.
Tips for Cleaning Reusable Straws
Reusable straws made of metal or food-grade silicone are easy to clean. Use warm water and regular soap for dishes. Soak the straws for a few minutes to soften any residues.
Grab the cleaning brush that comes with every pack of reusable straws and gently cleans the cylinders’ interior. Be sure to conscientiously because the debris from soda and other drinks will not be removed immediately.
You may need to brush a couple of times before all the debris is removed. After brushing the interior of the straws, use a sponge to clean the outside. Rinse the straws with warm water again and then drain. Leave the straws in the open air on a dry towel so they can air-dry naturally.
